for a 13 year old boy anything by Ted Decker. AWESOME! and you wont have to worry that it will be inappropriate.

i hear you guys, Aldis is awesome!

there is a farm near here where you can own shares of a goat for raw goats milk. (that way it is legal)

Thanks for the author advice, I will look next week. Alot of the books in the teen section are inappropriate and I don't want to have to read every book to make sure it is ok for him to read.

you are welcome, and i know what you mean. i am amazed at the youth selections. the books even for 9 -11 year olds kids is overtly sensual and whatnot.

my 14 yr. old daughter LOVES his work and we are VERY strict about teen appropriate reading, viewing, listening materials etc. he has Christian slanted series, secular series and there is even a movie made from one of the books i believe.

they are very popular with teens secular and Christian alike so he wont feel the odd man out either.

Hannah just picked out his trilogy Red, White & Black hardbound in one cover that is really hard to find while we were on vacation for one of her souvenirs. she was ecstatic.

Wow, what a day! Way, way, way too busy....for a day "off". Maybe I'll get some rest when I go back to work in the AM. Sounds like it is going to be a beatiful day! Yeah!

I moved the Javas in with the Dixie Raibow chicks today. They are only 2 days apart in age, but the Javas are still larger. It will be interesting to see how long that will last.

Have a good night!

Ellen

Well it was Wednesday today. Blah!!! Grey most of the day here. Sun came out later in the afternoon. Man I could of used a nap today. Well we just got rid of the second possum. We have been setting the trap for less than 2 weeks and we have already gotten 3 racoons and 2 possums. The chickens are locked up safe at night but a couple time I have gone out in the morning to let them out and there were things not quite right. Song bird mobbing something outside chicken yard and chasing it off. It was on the ground not in the air. Two mornings ago I swear I saw something brownish turn and go into the brush away from me right by the chicken yard. That night the biggest coon yet was in the trap. I might start carring something with me out in the morning. Pitch fork might be good. My husband is getting tired of digging holes.

hey everyone i picked up some free well built dog houses!!!!
yippiechickie.gif

gonna turn them into my breeding setups. all they needed was some paint and one needed some shingles but i had those too laying around. One is gonna house bantam cochins and the other silkies do these breeds nest on the ground or up higher. also would a perch 6inches up be good for them?

Must have been MJ. Boyd we have a .22 but I would be more comfortable with my bow. But to much of a pain to carry out every morning. Hopefully they just keep finding the trap and don't try messing up my fencing.
