MJ, You will not be disappointed - he had some fantastic birds. I couldn't get over the size of the brahamas (not sure about the spelling on that and too dang lazy to look it up).

I'll try the night thing tonight, are you saying to just put them in the coop when it's dark? They're too little to get up on the roosts, they'll probably just stay down on the floor - I hope they don't get pooped upon.

Thanks Boyd and Opa for the help, the news is not good. It is a coyote not a fox. I was told by the DNR to call a trapper as unless they are mangy they are really hard to live trap as they tear up the trap. Trapper said price of gas and there is probally more than one of them as they run in packs.

So I am making him give me a price range as I am not stupid, price of gas is not good enough because really how high could that bill go. He also warned me not to bring the chihuahua's out as they will hunt in the day and attack with people around, and to keep the electric fence on at all times.

Both the DNR and the trapper told me that they are having problems with the coyotes in my town being agressive to people. They went after a jogger last week and a person riding a bike. They are also in the trash heavy this year. Fun hey.

Boyd the Up of MI is one of the last places you can drive for miles and not see anyone. I love it up here. Winters are getting hard on me with my medical problems. This bear has been coming around since I moved here almost 6 years ago him and a mom with cubs, they have never bothered me even when they have come up on me really close (like 2 feet behind me) I still will take black bears over grizzley's and poison snakes any time.

Thanks again for the help.

:hugs please come back soon.

A2...sneak them into the coop after dark, yes. but, are you going to quarantine first? just asking. to each his own, not a judgment question at all. brahma is spelled like that. brahma. weird word isn't it. huge chickens.

Evening! Tired tonight! I've been helping with vacation bible school this week. And my little one hardly had a nap after we got home at 12:00. So it has been a loooong day! But now I think I will go enjoy the outdoors (she went to bed a little early, yeah!). Let the chickens free range for a bit, too.

I'm not going to sleep at all tonight.

I called the Red & White and they informed me that my order of chicks will be there bright and early tomorrow. Now I'm too excited to sleep. I ran downstairs and set up their new home for the next couple weeks... I hadn't yet tested the new heater yet. So now it's all good to go and I can't pick them up until I get out of work tomorrow.
