if she isn't fussing, leave her be. the wing isn't going to be ginormous anyway. don't be surprised if you find what is known as known as 'green meat'. it is deadened meat that occurs sometimes.

you may be able to pop it back in when the chick relaxes.

Hello Everyone. We had a really nice day with MJ. I brought home a really sweet barred rock and 2 chicks.

One of the babies is a Serama that hatched 2 days ago, from an egg laid by my former pair of Seramas on the way to MJ's. The other is an EE chick. I put the little ones under my broodies after removing the dud eggs. The broodies tucked them in and I did not hear a peep out of anyone.

Good morning Cat and everyone else.

Citalk, that poor chicken. It will need lots of rehab to learn it's true identity.

I bought 2 live traps because something has been tearing up my lawn out by the barn. Yesterday I caught a young female coon and this morning I have another young female and a BIG male sitting out there. At least I know the fixes on my barn worked, no more baby chick massacres! I sorta had the "live and let live" attitude as far as the wildlife on my property goes. But after the senseless killing of 47 baby chicks, that has changed. Anyone want a coonskin cap?

Monkey said he would take care of those pesky critters, until he saw the size of that big male. He asked me if he could have backup from the other 10 chis. After I got rid of the big old male, Monkey said he could have handled it with one paw tied behind his back. Let's see what he has to say tomorrow morning if there are more coons caught. Gotta love a little guy with big attitude.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Frizzledhen we have a little dog. When ever there is a coon in the trap like this morning again, he runs around the trap and barks and barks and barks... you see where this is going. But if the coon growls or hisses at him he runs away. Thinks he is big stuff untill the scary coon makes a noise.
