I almost forgot to tell ya'll,
I talked to customer service at the Kirby place today and the rude salesman is going to be reprimanded and they are sending me free vac bags for the kirby I already own. She apologized and said that it is not their policy to have their sales reps act that way.

I thought I would share pictures of my new "babies". Should I add a sarcastic "Thanks Vicki"

This is Punky Bluester. Named for her beautiful blue color and the mohawk she's a sporting.

And this is the older female that may start laying soon. I sure hope so

They other two are another female and a male. They are a combination of black and brown coloring with the beautiful blues and greens on their wings.

They are not very friendly as they have not been handled except at feeding time. We are trying to spend short amounts of time with them a couple of times a day. The scratches on my arm are proof that a scared muscovy is not a fun animal to handle.

The Turkeys decided they wanted to get in on the "picture" action tonight. I don't know how I caught one in mid "flying dust" but I did.

Bob could not be left out either. He followed the Turkeys around, but is way to pristine to share in the dirty fun.

Opa, don't tell my chickens that. last year, my chickens tried to get IN the pool with the ducks. ding dongs. almost had to buy them water wings.

Good Morning all!

Glad the Kirby folks don't consider that normal for their salespeople! And that they are giving you something free!

they are way cute! i put them into a really big rabbit cage so they have lots of room and they are seeming to love it. should they have any fresh veggies or anything? i don't want to give treats if you don't want them to have it.

they are just eating us out of house and home being so big and all!

i think i know bugs that are bigger.

happy birthday to Jack! do you know how you can tell you are five??? you can reach over your head with your arm and touch the ear on the opposite side of your body! (right arm, left ear) you cannot do that until you're five. fact. go Jack!

This will be my last day of vacation and me being here at the library in the day! I went to our air zoo yesterday and had a good time. If any of you are near the Kalamazoo/Portage area check it out. They are having free admission till September I think (this is the reason I went LOL). I went to the old one and the new air zoo was too exspensive. I didn't know it was in two buildings. They call the original building the east campus now. The new building is very impressive. They have rides and such for kids and the rides aren't free. I am a big airplane bufff and I fondly remembered all the air shows I went to in the pass and I miss them. There is nothing like seeing those old warbirds in the air or seeing a F 14 Tomcat flying by. I remembered at the air show they had the missing man formation with all the gruman cats. it would bring a tear to your eye. The airzoo has done a lot to restore these old planes.

Well it is back to work for me monday and I will be here at the library at nights instead. Seeing those pics of ducks got me thinking of the you tube video of what they said chicken attacking duck or something like that. It was a rooster trying to mate with a duck! The duck wasn't thrilled! I have heard of ducks trying to mate with hens and the hens drowned. I think the magazine said that ducks mate in the water. Is that true duck people? I don't know a whole lot about ducks. Have a good one Hotwings.

Hey everyone--just a reminder that there's a poultry swap hosted by MBGBA tomorrow (Sat) in Clare.

I don't know what the weather is going to do but it seems lots of people show up if it is raining!

See you there!
