MJ shingles! That is awful! My mother had them a few years back. She said it was the worst thing she ever had, and she wouldn't wish it on no one. I hope you get better soon.

By the way my husband, BIL and I were all out to the coop before dinner and my BR Maggie was squawking up a storm in one of the nest boxes. I went and check on her before we ate and there she was with her little egg she just layed. That make 2 eggs today! I wonder who layed the first one?

thanks guys. the pain is really bad. i've been blocking it out for awhile now thinking if i just didn't think about it that it would feel better. that didn't work.

Opa, i'd fix that roof up for you if i could but i'm not sure you would want me putting pretty, pink sparkle shingles up.

a really nice lady just came by and purchased 50 chickies. her son found a runt in my meaties. i sent it home with him because he just loved it. how could i not?

Crystal, i will have Rick get some potatoes asap. it looks yummy too.
the kids will have to help me. i don't know if i can stand that long. no joke. i couldn't stand alone long enough to get weighed at the doc. the nurse and Rick had to pretty much had to be crutches for me in the hallway to get into the exam room.

MJ- praying for a quick recovery of the shingles. My grandma got them when grandpa had some medical procedures done. Got a little stressed.

My husbands cousin has had shingles twice and she is in her 30's. Once while she was pregnant and couldn't take anything. The one bonus is they figure their daughter is immune to the chicken pox. She didn't get them when her older brother did.

Best place in Michigan to escape the humidity is in the far,far southwest, I think it's called Arizona.

Another sticky one. My husband has been working on a coop extension, 8x8 add on. We need more roosting space and nest boxes but still it looks enormous. That can only mean one thing - MORE CHICKENS.

Good morning everyone, Just a quick note before work. I wanted to thank everyone for thinking of my grandson. He should be able to come home today or tomorrow. It looks like he is going to be fine, but we really won't know for sure till this first round of treatments are done.

thanks for all the prayers guys. i know God is honoring them because at least i was able to sleep a little.

update was sent to me on Ellen. the doctors told her husband it was not her gallbladder and kept her at the hospital for tests and he will send me more info as he receives it. i'm just keeping her covered in prayer.

i'm sure her family is worried and nervous. i'll let you all know something as soon as i know.

Good morning all, I'm waiting for the pressure to build in the canner so I can get this beans done and get outside and work on the coop addition. I wish I had canned this things last night instead of this morning. It will probably be humid this afternoon and make shingling (sorry MJ) a real pain. I only have a little more to do but it is steep and much higher than this old man would would to fall from.
