Chickens and ducks are all washed. Our rec room/garage just smells like wet chicken still! The chickens were funny. They sat right down in from of the heaters we had blowing on them til they were dry. Smart little buggers!

Good Night!

Good morning all, that wind yesterday sure was something. From how the weather has been so far this month it feels like we are skipping October and go straight to November. I swear the sky has looked like it was filled with snow clouds.

I'm sure looking forward to Saturday. Should be a really nice day.

good morning everyone! the sun is shining all over the trees and making them golden and so beautiful!

i just found out that Rick has to work Saturday because of this huge project (he leaves next week for the Virgin Isles) and i probably will NOT be at FowlFest now.

he just left for work and said he has to work until 2pm. he looked at me and said, "Oh, wait you have your FowlFest though, oh man!" he felt so bad!

well, maybe they will finish early! i will keep praying!

Morning all, You know, I thought with the kids gone, life would be a little slower. I think I am busier now than when everyone was home. And for some reason, I can't eat a loaf of bread before it grows mold. Why can't they just make 1/2 loaves of bread?
Get well wishes for all those under the weather, and have fun at fowl fest. I will not be able to attend. but I will be there in spirit.

yes, that is what happens, they also get hamburger and hotdog buns. They are so funny about it. I just love it, really I do.

Hi everyone! Glad to hear that everyone has survived the wind storm yesterday. I love rainstorms, thunderstorms, etc......but cannot stand those windstorms since we built our house. My side of the bed is next to a wall of windows and I sat there all night watching them very closely.
big_smile.png
I swear they were going to blow in at any moment. Thankfully all the birds were okay, and none of the hoop houses mooved an inch. All night I was worried that I would be chasing baby chicks around like MJ trying to get them back in there home.....but everything was ok.

Off to see the surgeon this afternoon. Hopefully we will get this surgury scheduled and have a quick recovery!

Rhandi good luck with the Doc today

I sanitized my chicken carries the night of winds, for the fowl fest, hopefully going to get a few chicks and got a PM from Ellen going to be getting some Delaware pullets,

i left them out back to dry, Chuck found them the next morning, down in the driveway, the blow about 100 feet.

my son doesn't have it thank goodness, so i had to call the ele and middle school for my other 2 girls, let them know, i haven't heard any thing back which i hope is a good sign, so i strip my sons room down to nothing, sanitize every thing, bathroom, floors, bedding and mattress, washing all of his cloths on sanitize on the washer, scrubbed the walls, and every where in the house his friend went,
I have learned from doing hair for 28 years, that lice love clean hair, so the lice can stick on clean hair, i have been to his house and they are very clean people, the mom called a few min's ago apologizing, there trying to figure out where her son got it from.

Now I'm going to itching all day
