We are celebrating 2 of my nephews birthdays this evening. Both are turning 2. Lots of fun!

It is way too cold. In 2 weeks I will be in Honduras. Warm weather here I come!!!!

How is the mission trip going for Rachel (right?) at the doctor clinic in the tropics?

We don't like Lowes or Home Depot either, but there isn't any other choice. I hate the fact that when I go in the store and ask where something is, they tell you the wrong place. So you ask someone else and they tell you the wrong place too!

Hi, I'm Tam and in Southeast MI - subdivision in Warren, actually. I'll be wading throught the posts to see who lives nearby

We started with three chicks from the State Fair last fall that the seller said were girls. One was a rooster so now we're down to two and they ARE pullets. One is an Australorp and the other an EE and they're about 21-22 weeks old now. EE (Killer) gives us pale green-blue eggs and the Australorp (Stephanie) gives us light brown.

Man the temp got to 10 above but it sure felt like -10 to me with that wind today. Hope ya all stayed warm.

Happy Birthday Sam!!!

My nephew's party was fun. Drew and Grant had their own train cakes. One had Edward and the other Percy. My SIL has a cake mold and decorated them like the professionals do. I felt guilty eating it!
It was nice having 2 parties in one. My sister hosted and bought pizza. My brother and his wife did the cakes and ice cream. We only had to go to one party...less cake and ice cream for me to eat!Perfect! LOL

Sam- did you get cake and icecream too?!?

It is VERY cold outside!

Rachel is back from Winter Retreat with church. Had a lot of fun, didn't sleep much though...she will probably sleep through her alarm tomorrow morning!

Off to swap laundry and clean the kitchen from lunch...2 of my least favorite jobs...and they are never ending!

Good morning Michiganders! When I was younger there was this old fella nearby that was French Canadien, short, and talked with a Irish brouge. He always said good morning a different way..... He'd tip his cap to you and say "Top o the mornin to ye, and the very best part.... the rest I be keepin fer meself" For some reason the old vision of him popped into my head as I was about to post.

Gonna be a cold one again this morning. Yeeha

Good mornin' all. Got the coffee on and sitting here thinking about how nice is was under that down comforter. Some days it seems a little hard to get going. If I didn't like to eat on a regular basis I think I'd quit working. Do any of you feed your chickens cabbage? I been hanging a head of cabbage in the coop once a week. It sure is amazing how fast they can make that disappear.

Good Morning...I was sitting here thinking how I should have married rich, so I wouldnt have to get up for work-drinking my coffee, also.

I give my chickens cabbage. I tried hanging it, but I guess I am not smart enough. No matter how I hang it, they manage to knock it right off. So I just toss a head in there now and then. They love it.

I got my girls a couple dozen crickets at the pet store yesterday. They gobbled them right up. I never even saw one once I dumped the bag out.

Everyone have a great day- and perhaps if we all think it hard enough, it will warm up soon.
