I posted this in the BST area... but thought I would throw it out here as well.... does anyone around MI have any Dewlapped Toulouse goslings or eggs for sale? My DD really wants some of these. As do I

The feed store is going to have hatchery ones... but I'd like to get something better if possible.

I will be praying, Myrna. Waiting on medical results can be tedious. We put our faithful dog, Maggie, down a couple days after Christmas. It sure is hard to do.

Vicki, I am glad everything went well!

Opa, those eggs are so pretty! Now I have to research Wellsummers... will it ever end??? Chickens are worse than Baskin Robbins!

Myrna if I am reading this right then you are waiting on test results for you. I will be praying that those test are nothing.

Sorry about your dog but as a retired breeder of Great Danes then I can tell you any large dog that makes it past 6 or 7 has had a long life. Ten years old is a great age, that does not make it any easier to take.

Keeping you and yours in my prayers.

Vicki glad to hear you are feeling better. Still praying here.

In the egg department I had 6 today. I have only been getting 3 for about 2 weeks now and got 6 today, it is a great feeling.

Stay warm

Vikki-Glad everything went well

Opa-those eggs are really pretty

So I was talking to a friend today and she was talking about getting her hair done. She told me she spent over $100 on her hair!

I usually get the $12 special, unless I have a coupon, then its $5.
Anyway, this gave me a great way to rationalize getting my new incubator!
Yes, thats what I did, I ordered the hova-bator 1588! I am so excited! I found it for $119. So really the same as a hair-do! Big Russ just shook his head.

Congrats on the new bator....your reasoning makes perfect sense, I've used the same logic when buying a new rifle. My haircuts are only 9 bucks so I got a lot of splainin to do on how I justify them.

The face book thing....my biggest problem with the mass mailing was that the email went out to 3 people who owe me money I will never see. I just don't want them to think I am over their non payment and asking them to be my buddy on facebook. I don't know why I still have them in my addy book. One owes me 3 grand.....he can take a hike.

Vicki, I think I know...and I don't need to know any more. Glad you are fine and properly medicated. I think it is darvocet that Judy really likes when she has surgery.....loopier than a outhouse rat.

Nice eggs Sam, I didn't know that eggs could be so speckled.

Got started on the siding today....it warmed up for a little bit so I tried to get at it while it was not quite so bad that my fingers were freezing off.

Thanks everyone, I am really excited.

For my first hatch I am going to use the eggs that I have. I will end up with. Some pure Dominiques and Buff Brahmas. I will also have some interesting cross breeds. We'll see how it all turns out. After that I may start buying up some more eggies!
Anyone have any great advice for me on my first hatch? I have read everything I can think of. I am wondering if I need to pick up a thermometer or if it comes with one and what about the hygrometrer can I get one at walmart or do I need to order one?

yep...don't sweat it. just enjoy it. worrying wont make anything hatch anymore than not worrying.

the hygrometer/thermometer combo at Wally world is really nice. i love mine.
