They are beautiful and very gentle.

I remember now that I met one of these at a pet store once YEARS ago... it was the sweetest little bird I ever have met! But SO outside my price range

I'd love to have an indoor pet bird like that someday

When these have babies they will only be 65 each that is the standard price right now I would probably do a deal for a BYC buddie

They were blinded by the flash by all the pictures I took, so now they're scared of the camera. I actually tend to leave the little ones alone and let them get use to things. I just sit and talk softly to them. Yes, I can talk softly. Thought I'd throw that in before Kristen gets to this post!!

Good morning all----I am really enjoying this thread!! Not only am I learning all about chickens, but almost daily someone posts pictures about some cute little critter that makes me think...............hmm, maybe I would like one of those too!!!!! I better not let my hubby find out about BYC, as there were already enough animals around here before!!! Hope everyone enjoys this sunny, yet freezing, day!!

correct. jammed would be odd movement/no movement.

if it's black and blue, it may very well be broken. Hannah broke two toes awhile back and the ER didn't even see the break in one of the toes, but a specialist did. they were black and blue and she could move them.
GO TO THE DOCTOR, or you are grounded from hatching chicks.

No doctor, my insurance stinks! It isn't too bad, I would post a pic, but I know feet are not your thing.

Thanks for the info, I didn't think it could be broken, I can almost walk on it and the swelling is down enough that I can even get a shoe on!
