Shelleyb----I wonder if I saw the little guy in the coop in MJ's garage? There was a fuzzy little black dude running around on the side with the older chicks. He was pretty cute if that was him.

G-tar----It sounds like this could be a turning point for you son---a good turning point. Not being surrounded with all the hubbub and negative influences we have so readily available around here will be great, though a bit of a transition for him. I would love for my kids to have a chance to experience the bush life for a month or two. It surely would get them thinking about what life truly is about. Heck, I think it would be neat myself to experience Alaska like that. At one point in the last couple of years we thought about moving up there.

Wylie--sorry to hear about more sick kids!!! It is hard on mom dealing with that--especially when they get sick one after another and you are stuck in the house for weeks on end

I kind of feel bad for the roosters---too bad you can't geld them like a horse. Then we could have all kinds of pretty, quite roos around. Where we are at we have neighbors that are right next to us, so no roos here for now. Maybe when we FINALLY build on our 153 acres way out in Fostoria I could have one, maybe. MJ tells me that they can sleep through the crowing. I hope so---I am a really light sleeper, though I have learned to sleep through my husband running a backhoe or a dozer right behind our bedroom.

Thanks Blue. He's got such a sweet personality.
My big sizzle roo has a very muffled crow...very quiet. I just love them all.
I really hope this guy goes to a good home with someone on BYC. With him, I just really don't want to offer him up on Craigslist...he's a special little fella.
