Hello everyone! Thank you all for your caring and prayers. We don't have the whole picture for my daughter, yet, but God does. I know we will get there!

We had such a nice afternoon with MJ and her kids. Great medicine!

MJ, don't forget to tell Rick about the weasel's lair....

Hi everyone!

The last little chickie finally hatched out, a brahma! She is staying toasty warm in the bator until tomorrow.
I ended up hatching 40 eggs out of 60. 8 were shipped eggs and 4 were clear at my first candling. Not to bad for my first try.

Had a very busy/fun day with a house full of kids. Now tomorrow is a slow day with my 2 little cowgirls!

Hopefully we have some nicer weather for spring break! I am planning on staying home and playing with chicks. We are also going to do some little stuff like go to the movies, bowling etc. I took the week off from daycare so its just me and my kids!

Cat-----Hmmmmmmm......................you found the weasels lair?!?! You must have had an extra exciting time at MJ's

We had something neat happen to my oldest DD today. Someone anonymously sent her a nice card and inside of it was $5 with a note for her to buy a chick for 4-H. No signature, no return address----it was postmarked in Flint, so who knows?!? It was a nice blessing for her---she is working and taking out a "business" loan from her grandma to raise the funds for her show birds, and now she has one less chick to buy.

The plan is to get some speckled sussex from MJ and a few bantam blue orps from shelleyb. She liked both kinds and with having a large bird and a small she has plenty of choice as to which bird she wants to do for showmanship. You have to do showmanship to be able to sell your market birds at the 4-H auction, from what I have been told and have read.

I originally thought my roo was a sizzle, but after talking to his breeder, I was told that since he's taken all the traits of the silkie, he's considered a silkie. Just wanted to clarify that in case anyone thought I'd lost my mind.

And since I'm just getting into the sizzle world, I'm not sure if what I was told is true or not....just passing it on. All I know is he looks just like a pet quality non-bearded Silkie, feathering and all.
