RockShar I live in Menominee - the very southern part of the UP. 3 1/2 hours south of Mackinaw and 1 hour north of Green Bay WI. Mackinaw is great. My family tries to get there once everyone couple of years. There is a new waterpark over there but I don't know the name of it. We ususlly stay on theSt. Ignance side of the strait.

I have seen the waterpark.....but the one we have gone to is a small one in a hotel pool area.....kids have a blast and off season is a joy. (and a bargain) Mackinaw is the place my dad and i used to go to and i always feel close to him when we go there....

Kids are on spring break next week, and im on vacation...hopin to make the trip.

Cat we should try to get together next week too maybe!?

Tonight I decided after I fill these last two goose egg orders, I think I will leave the rest and see if my geese will go broody. The one pair almost got me tonight, I thought I had them outsmarted, but they are learning my techniques and tag teamed me.

I think I had one (gently) by the neck and the other held off with my forked stick push her away, I use wide fork so I can gently push them away, not hit. The male was swing those wing bows at me for all he was worth and I could hear them whistle as they went by, I knew the would leave some nasty bruises if they connected!

It is probably my fault, the other male is not nearly as aggressive, but this male is in the big pasture and must share it with all the ducks (including two male muscovies who will chase his female if he is occupied with me) and another young single male goose, who I had mistakenly thought earlier this year was a female. So he is a bit cranky!

Just thought I'd check in real quick before I go to bed and see how we stand in our quest to stay ahead of everyone else. We have one but not by as much as we once enjoyed. Get those fingers working people. Seriously, the only reason I think we have more posts than the other states is that we all like each other alot.
