No not really. Get the Ball Canning Book. A wealth of information and it has recipes too.

I just used my last jar of spagetti sauce. Rain did in part of my crop and now we have to resort to store bought stuff...the kids won't be happy!

Good Morning All!

Busy day with Gretchen's birthday party. It is a tea party. Most of the stuff we baked yesterday so today is getting everything set up.

off to enjoy the day! 8 Years ago it was Sunday, Palm Sunday. Nascar raced at Talledaga. Gretchen was born at lap 15?something. Jon wanted to name her Talledaga, but I said no.

Talk to you all later!

Sarah

Imagine how you would feel with grandchildrens becoming teenagers.

I don't even want to think that thought. I still have 3 more years until I have my first teenager, and that is more than enough for me.

Babs--does porcupine taste like chicken?? Everthing else seems to. I am impressed with your culinary history. I just started eating/cooking venison this year. Good idea to skip MJ's----you will come away with more mouths to feed, after your own mouth has been fed some of her yummy goodies. It's a dangerous, yet blissful place to go.

That sounds like an excellent idea, thank you! Homemade spaghetti sauce sounds marvelous.

Yeah, I sure do know how that feels. Makes one feel OLD! But my mind is still somewhere in my teens!

If you are going to start hunting deer on Aug 8th you might not want to write about in on a public forum.

oops 176 for archery and 221for gun. my son has it written on the calendar and his writing is horrible. The cass river trader has the days left till bow season and gun season on the front of the paper every week.

edited to add gun season.

Good morning everyone. We still have a foot of snow here in Springport. At least we got our power back. Seems like we loose that convienence every time someone sneezes. It is getting real old. I am getting real good at camping in my living room though. Glad I saved all the camping stuff from my younger years.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Wow, Gayle! I am not that far away, but guess in a better spot... our snow is almost gone. We had a lot, but not nearly the damage you guys had in Spring Port and Jackson.... I couldn't believe all the trees down in Jackson! I am glad you have your power back!
