Little Light Colored Turkeys, now that's cute. Picky little things huh? Tee-hee! Will their hatch date be close to the other turkeys I have on "order"? That will have to be the determining factor I think. I only have so many heat lights!

Hey all - I see I have lots of reading to do. The posts are adding up quick and I've fallen way behind. Our internet at work is super slow now, so it takes the whole lunch hour to try to catch up anyway.

Anyone want to hatch some Seramas? I have a broody hen who was sitting on eight eggs last week, expecting a hatch sometime next week. Well, last night I threw down some cracked corn to get her off the nest, and to my amazement, there are 17 eggs under her! Don't think there is any way she can cover them all. She seems to kick out at least two eggs a day from the nest that the other hens lay there. I have six eggs in a cheap incubator in the house, but they keep coming. PM me if you want some for your bator.

Small world two b-days today, Happy B-day to Gretchen!

I love canning, last year I canned alot and this year we doubled the size of our garden and I will be canning even more!

Ok, I've been wanting some buff orpingtons - live here in Dewitt - just outside of Lansing - I see that perhaps I can purchase fertilized eggs and have one of my hens sit on them?? - Can someone help me here - I don't have any experience in this area. I have many hens who would love to be mated, so i believe I could get them to sit on the eggs - thanks for any/all help!

OH MY GOD!!! I don't think I could be any more jealous than I already am right now!!!!

It doesn't look like that anymore, that was in the fall, it is getting pretty skinny down there now!
Big Russ has tons of plants started for the garden this year so I will be able to fill it up again! I think he told me we will have 3 rows of tomatoes!
