Life can be very good and today certainly was a good day. As everyone knows today was bright and sunny and that alone is enough to make ones spirits soar. Then I got to meet Michelle and her son and pick up a beautiful pair of bantam orpingtons. As I was driving to meet her a woman that I dated over thirty years ago called. We have remained good friends and I feel blessed to have her as a friend. Her call added to my "it's a good day feeling". Then coming home I spotted a garden center and they had asparagus crowns that David had been looking for. Finally, to top the day off, my youngest son Scott called to informed me that he had just been hired as a graphic designer for his local newspaper and he was thrilled to no longer be unemployed.
After so much drama in my life these past few days, today ended up being such a blessed day for me. I had so many wonderful things happen today. For a while, I forgot about all the worries I've had lately.
What a fantabulous Day! I took my 3 week old chicks outside and put them in a little pen. They were so happy to be out and stretching their little wings.
Then we let the big ones out and they had a ball scratching in all the leaf piles. They are so used to me giving them goodies that for the first few times I went outside, they kept running up to me. Then they figured they may as well just scratch some more.
Got a few more chicks hatching out.
Had to help them, but they are all doing fine.
About the bantum roosters being mean. We have a bantum rooster and he is the nicest little guy. He even calls his girls over and makes sure they eat first. He has the cutest little crow!
Our big rooster is a good fella too. I got rid of all our roosters that were aggressive.
Welcome to the new ones.
Those sure were adorable babies. We had such a great day outside and God willing, tomorrow also.
God Bless everyone and may his light shine on you all!!
