We spent the day up at MSU at the 4-H horse quiz bowl state finals. Kids didn't do that great. Had a team that answered questions before we heard what they really wanted....I think they got information that they shouldn't of had. Nothing we can do about it though.

no. the calls did not hatch well at all. i am hoping for another set to do well. they just have a hard time getting out. almost better i think for them to be hatched by 'momma'.
i have you at the top of 'the list' though.
any news on sebbie eggs?
I went and picked up both of my sebbie babies today and talked to her, 2 out of her three hens are setting on eggs and she has both of her ganders out of the pen so the eggs are infertile, and she said she doesnt like to sell eggs anyways just because of how low the hatch rates of been. I was shocked she has silkie ducks! I just wanted to take em home with me! they looked so soft.
Here are my two new babies:
The supposed girls name is Gisele, and the boy is Meringue
Heres anouther pic, can someone resize this for me? im no good at resizing without it looking funky. I want to use it as my avatar.
We survived the soccer tournament. It was so cold and windy at first, but then it got nicer and nicer. Looks like everyone is out enjoying the day like they should be. Someone at the soccer game said we were supposed to have some of the blasphemis "sn*w" word this weekend---NOOOOOOO.
Thought it was time to post a picture of Blue the former house chicken
Plus here is the garden with the new fence around it. The size is 36x36 and doesn't seem that big until you start buy all of the material and then you can't help but wonder why you've made it so large.

I allow the chickens in the garden from late October til I plant in May so the six foot height keeps them in. Plus I plant Kentucky Wonder beans on the fence. I have two strands of hot wire, one at 6" and a second at 42". The lower wire is for predators and the higher one is to keep the deer from eating my beans.
What did you use to candle with? I've gotta get prepared to candle my eggs from Opa. Speaking of which...I've gotta go candle some other eggs right now. Plus clean some brooders. Be back in a bit!
I took that pic today...had all of my juvies outside in the sunshine! Can't wait to start getting eggs from my mottled pair...the hatching will never end!
