I don't think it is quite the same with muesli or oatmeal, you really need fruit loops to make good monster munching sounds!

Oh yeah!!! And fresh apples since she's teething lol

Oh my gravy! My chickens are unhappy with me. I decided it would be best to keep them in their run and coop today to make sure they drink as much medicated water as possible. I went out to hang up laundry and they are making a huge noise at me. I think it translates to "Hey! Lady! Let us OUT!"

I will let them out tomorrow. Poor things not free ranging for two whole days!

Hey Everyone - Would appreciate input- about a week ago we ended up w/gnats - maybe flies - but they are rather small - in our coop - they're hanging on the ceiling - if they are w/in range, the hens gobble them up - we've gotten a few fly strips and set those up - cleaned up the coop floor some - it really wasn't that dirty.....any ideas - is this something that i should be concerned about?? Thanks!

I had my chickens on Duramycin (I think same as terramycin) and we ate the eggs. MJ eats hers too cause she's the one who told me it's okay to eat as long as nobody is allergic to any mycin medicine.

I can't wait to get flowers. But I wait till around mothers day or so. I have a lot of bulds and a couple perenials [sp.] blooming.

I have a question for the other Mi. folks on here. Coop will get finished this weekend. We have 2, 7week poults going out. Will have lamp for heat still in the coop. But we also have almost 5week old chicks in the other brooder. Do you think we could put them out at the same time as the turkeys. As long as we keep the heat light on for them? Not outside to the run. Kept in the coop for a week or two.

That's when I'll probably get my flats, too. I usually just put the hanging baskets in the garage or house if it's going to be too cold overnight. We went past our old house a couple weeks ago and all the perennials were up and looked so pretty. Wish I had that at this house, but I'll work on it this year. It took us a few years at that house to get it how we wanted it. And I know it will be the same way here, too.
