Today we celebrated my son's 20th birthday. He chose to have me cook instead of going out to eat, so we had chicken pasta, garlic bread and salad. Birthday cake of course.

Watched the Wings win and continued to work in the garden. A satisfying day.

Hello Everyone!

Boyd, since you have turned into a bread maker, you should check out this recipe... we make it a couple of times a month (Including tonight, lol.) My kids, their friends and my husband love them! They are not hard to make and are so delicious. Just be sure to roll the dough out fairly thin... My husband even likes them left over and cold for breakfast.

What a nice weekend. Went to look at new tractors for my husband, picked up plants at the greenhouse, hung lots of laundry out on the line, hung out with my husband and kids, and put 2 new flower beds in with help from the boys too. I like the nice cool weather of spring as long as the rain stays away. We got a lot done and got to spend time together.

Yesterday I went to the farmers market and picked up 10 heritage tomatoes plants a couple egg plants and plants for my pots. Hubby picked up 2 tomato plants green peppers some melons and bush pickles. Still have tons more to get but I think we have a good start. I think I am going to try corn this year and I am going to try the straw method with my potatoes

Ohio and Kentucky are amazing. having the time of our lives! meeting great people (BYC'ers of course!), seeing things we've never seen before and relaxing as a family.

um, Boyd...Elizabeth had a picture she thought you would appreciate!
a shout out to Froot Loops!

Naw, I was up at 3am. Watched a show about Operation Valkerie on the History Channel. Then fortunately fell asleep until 6. Sure was glad I did.

Yesterday I thought about planting my garden and then decided that I would wait. I never plant until Memorial Day and that has worked very well for me for years. As it turns out am glad that I didn't. Man is it cold. I'm concerned about how the frost is going to affect my orchard. If it's very hard it knocks the crop down considerably. I also was going to take my 8 week old Spangled Hamburgs out of the brooder and place them in an outdoor coop; glad I didn't do that either.

Well today is supposed to be nice and warmer weather is coming.
