Sure a big change in the weather but I will take it over that high heat and humidity from last week. Hope you all have a great day. Mine is going to be a good one because good days are made they just don't happen. One thing that will help make this a good day is I will be meeting Hillbillyhen.

I have no idea why I'm up at this time of the morning when it's rainy and dark.

Yesterday I only got 2 eggs from my 6 laying chickens - it's driving me to insanity - why, oh why are they not laying eggs??

My mini dachshund got hold of my blue cochin yesterday and ended up with a mouth full of feathers. The cochin was no worse for the wear, she just looked disgruntled, fluffed herself up and strolled away. What a trooper!

Good Morning all! Ever heard of Fair Oaks Dairy Farm in Indiana? My family is taking me down there for my b-day this weekend. It should be lotsa fun!

The cornish are enjoying staying inside the coop today. I don't really think they like me making them go down into the tractor every morning. Last night they were putting themselves to bed easily enough. I opened the door for them today but they just looked at me like "is it really necessary?".

Well, I DID hear from the Poultry Research Center last night and they have fertalized eggs in the following categories: White crested black polish/silver laced wyandottes/blue brested old english/buff brahama/new hampshire red/silver spangled hamburg/white cochin/black cochin/white japenese/red pyle old english - ALL BANTAMS - okey dokey gang, any input - I have no expereince with any of these breeds! Thanks _ NAH

Morning everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well! Our summer has been busy and flying by! We bought a big pool last night so now we will be busy taking it down and putting it up at our house. I wonder if the chickens will roost on the side of it!
