Michigan "lurkers" reporting. Had a wonderful visit with Miss_Jayne this AM/PM. Quite the lady! Told us of the possum incident and the big pearly whites. The story, the pictures - what a laugh! Anyhow, had a great visit. She is so full of life and information. Unbeknownst to us the Lord had more than a mere visit in store for us today - aside from meeting MJ and her husband Rick and their poultry - we acquired three more chickies and to think that prior to the visit we were sure, well pretty sure, well kinda sure, that we were not getting anymore chickens until next spring and certainly no bantams. Well, here we are richer by three bantams. As if that were not enough, MJ gave us the business card of her feed supplier. Then home where the chickies roam and a slug of a beagle just lays by worrying the newbies as if he'd never seen a chick in all his born days. That dog just ain't right. Anyhow, great time and can't wait to do it again. Thanks MJ!

 

[Opa]

I spent the day tearing out a brick paver sidewalk that was mortared together. It was 8'x20'. Then they all had to be loaded on my trailer and hauled off. I am definately older than I used to be. At the end of today I could tell for sure. Still it was a wonderful day, sunny, breezing and I started it with a pulse, so everything else I had to do was a piece of cake.

I was glad to see that more people have joined our thread and that several more have express their intention to attend Chickenstock. Welcome all, and I look forward to meeting you.

that cowboy town, Rose. It's definitely a cherished toy to him. I'll try to give ya a call tomorrow. I've got folks coming out tomorrow for some Silkie chicks, so I'll try to call in between sales.

summer just brings on a bunch of outside work for sure! i feel like i was outside working all day and still don't feel like i did much!

does it ever end? nope. especially hosing off the driveway. i'm going to tape big buckets to the goose butts.

I'm glad he likes it! He's such a cool kid! Don't work too hard, Shelley! And, please, plan on riding with us to the chickenstock. Logan will have a blast there, or you could get DH to take him fishing and you can come and relax!
