Anny, we have orpingtons and barreds the same age. someone is coming to purchase some tomorrow though. we'll see.

i still owe you pictures. my battery charger is being all weird. it charges for a few minutes then stops. looks like i get to play 'buy MORE equipment'!

i will let you know if the ee's are not claimed. we have more hatching like i said, and a dozen more being loaded in today. being that they are blue eggs, they do have the lovely 'lethal gene' so, we never know how many will actually make it out though. i'll keep you posted.

Just got in and cleaned up from cleaning the waters. I still think the turkey is in love with my husband. He couldn't go anywhere tonight without her following him around. We were cleaning the kids pool up and putting the cover on it and she walked around and around the pool to follow him. I am gonna have to get video of it before she goes into the processor.

Back from an 8 mile bike ride. My legs can feel it, hopefully I will be able to walk later on today and not hobble!LOL

Thanks, guys! I knew it was coming... mom took it first on the 4th, dad and one brother took it on Monday... Co-worker came in to work with it yesterday... ugh. It's not a bad one though, and doesn't last long. I'm always appreciative of prayer, not matter what kind!

Morning everyone - another beautiful Michigan summer day! I have a quick question on BBS cochins - I'm pretty sure I have a rooster (almost 13 weeks old), but he's a wimp, he still peeps and lets the girls chase HIM around. Are the roosters slow to develop - I don't have any other roosters, just hens.

Morning/afternoon all! The family and I are planning on attending Chickenstock, yeahhhhh! I was thinking about bringing all my "spare" bantys in case anyone wanted them.... Is this a good idea or a bad one? We can process them and they'll be tiny little nuggets but I was thinking someone may be interested in them.....

I'll get pictures of my EE later today, he's not very attarctive but very different. I still can't believe an 8 week old is crowing.
I'll try the dollhouse site today, keeping my fingers crossed for another EE chick. No luck at the Oakland County 4H Fair last night

Wooo....Hooo.. the tractor was delivered today. We will be starting on getting the old goat house out of the chicken yard tonight. Then we can finish mowing since our very old but very free Craftsman finally bit the dust 3/4 of the way into the lawn last weekend.
