Funny thing -- my other banty roo who lost his pal last week is now hanging with DD's duckling when I let them free range. Peeps (duck) is twice the size of Nugs(roo) -- duck's almost 3 months old and roo is 16 months. Funny to see them together. I guess everyone needs a buddy

It is so nice to see everyone up and chatting. It has been so quiet. I thought maybe it was me. I got back from vacation caught up on all the post and nothing.

Kids and I had a blast at our church picnic. The kids swam in the pond with their friends. A fun time by all! Smelled like fish when we left, so everyone took showers before bed.

MJ I was not kidding about the potato peels they are the beat way to get potassium
POTATO PEELING BROTH 10-12 cups water 2 bunches parsley Skins of 6 medium potatoes cut 1/4 inch thick 6 carrots 8 stalks celery Simmer 30+ minutes reducing to 6 cups. Strain - throw out veggies One cup of broth without the vegetables contains 1200-1400 mg. potassium

Crystal...potatoes are awesome for potassium. tomatoes too. explains why i kept asking Rick to stop and buy me tomatoes every day. i was eating tomatoes like 3 at a time. i couldn't get enough. i was craving them. i was eating whole containers of cherry tomatoes for snacks. it was nuts.

I have never ever heard of those. Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be a good source of potassium also. You could use that to make some salad dressing. Mix that, olive oil, honey and a bit of minced garlic-----yumminess.
