MJ so glad to hear from you! We were getting worried. Praying for a full recovery.

So, I have one duckling that hatched so I just put it in a brooder with chicks. But, yesterday it started trampling chicks so its now in a brooder by itself. Its constantly freaking out now and running into the sides of the brooder and I'm afraid that it will get hurt. Is there anything I can do?

Nope just bantams at the moment. MJ's cochins will be worth the wait, they are BEAUTIFUL!

still busy. These last weeks before school is the hardest

All the DHS workers, therapists, case managers and foster care workers are trying to cram as many kids into their schedules as they can before school starts, and I've got new kiddo's going to the district so I've been signing them up, getting shots, physicals and all that jazz up to date. And one of my older girls is working on getting her license. It'll be nice when two of the 6 are driving

It's been a lot of fun though!!! Sorry I havn't been on more, I'm sharing computer time with them now too

RIRJen, glad that Frank is crowing. Zeb, the BR I kept, is crowing and trying to score with the ladies when the Phoenix isn't looking. Eliott is crowing and sounds funny too.
Boyd, just think, you can get some rest and computer time soon since the kids will be in school.

just catching up on house and animal work today, have to clean chicken poop off my front porch, its 70 feet long, and they just pride up and down it.

I tell ya its crappie getting older

, i never use to get sick, it took me 5 days just feel normal again. now i get sick about 3 to 4 times a year.

MJ's Cochins are the reason I was looking for some. I was at her place a couple weeks ago and was in awww over them.

I have placed an order with Mrs. Smith at starcochins.com and should have my birds in a week or so. Im very excited. She has some beautiful birds.

We talked on the phone for a long time about getting quality birds, ones the grandkids can show in 4H and I can show myself. I left it up to her to pick out what colors she thinks I need to get started. As I am a total novice when it comes to Chicken standards. Cant wait to see what colors she chooses for me.

I'll get pictures as soon as they arrive.

I don't know if we will to to Fowl Fest or not. I didn't think DH would want to but I mentioned it to him and he said maybe.
I also did not think we would be going to the Ren Fest this year either. We will be there this weekend. DH wants to take #2 son since he will be leaving to go in the service soon. Soo.... anyone in the Flint/Holly area, I will be staying at the Americinn in Flint on Friday night. If you would like to meet send me a pm and I will give you my phone number. I have to agree with Opa that Chickenstock was nice but just not enough time to talk with everyone.
