Yes it is beautiful here, I live in the country so I really appreciate it, especially in the fall. The colors are so beautiful.
I will be eating instant ramen for lunch. At least I have a very understanding DH.

Well the reason people eat more this time of the year, is that all the new shows are on TV and when the commercials come on, they go and get snacks, Oh thats ME...

I can help you out with a processor not too far from us. I'm in the Lapeer area also. Actually thinking about dropping off a few birds there this weekend because I have too many roos and they are torturing my girls and fighting. I can PM you if you'd like.

Good afternoon. Now I have a Buff Orp that is broody too. My husband was trying to collect yesterday and asked do hens always growl at you? I was like no you must be special. Then last night at lock up time 1 BO was missing. Nope not missing just still in the nest box next to the broody silkie.

Welcome Raz.

I don't know if they process rabbits, but there is a place a little north of Caro called Westover Wild Wings or something similar, they are located on Gilford road. If you called the MSU extension office up in Caro they may have the number, as they had it posted in the poultry barn during fair. That is where we took the market chickens and turkey that my DD raised for the fair and auction this year.

I live in Holland, Mi ...I just got chickens this spring. I only have six that were suppose to be hens but got 2 roo's. All different kinds. I want to go to the big poultry show in Ohio on Nov.14, 15 so I can buy more My hubbie thinks I am nuts to want to go that; he is losing me to the chicken world!!! I am also a breeder of Bernese Mt. Dogs (one litter a year) I horse back ride all over Mi. with my hubbie and my kids. We have gaited horses. The farm next to us is for sale house and 37 acres. Someone with critters come buy it so we can visit!

Not looking forward to winter..I have to get my chicken coop ready for the big chill!

Tracy
