We just got done with dinner. We had fried eggs that we got from Princess Oscar

. Her little banty eggs were very tasty, and she even gave us a double yolker. The kids thought it was the coolest!!!

Glad you are feeling better too.

I was feeling better but I think I did too much today so I am pretty tired. Last night I took some night time cold medicine... so of course I did not sleep. Medicines affect me so weirdly. Maybe tonight I will take daytime cold medicine.

I just noticed that you're going back to school Hillbilly Rooster, you're right it is hard to be older on college campuses, but you'll do great. Actually you may find you're not as alone as you may expect to be. Older women have long been making a comeback on campuses but I've noticed this semester especially a noticeable rise in the number of older men taking classes and I don't imagine my campus is the only one where this is happening given the current economy.

i think the best thing about taking college courses as a 'real adults' (no offense to anyone, i just mean those of us that are seasoned, aka OLD) is that there is a whole different attitude about it. you are there to learn, accomplish and be done.

I took some classes way back when I was in my 30's

and loved them! You are right, my attitude was so different than it was when I was younger....I was eager to learn....plus I was paying for them and darn sure was gonna get my money's worth!!

I will have to try the pop tarts. Use to buy the store bought ones, but have stopped due to wheat allergies..

I made apple sauce for the first time this year with some of Opa's apples. I did straight McIntosh with one batch and a McIntosh/ yellow delicious (I believe) The kids favorite was the straight McIntosh. It even has a pink tint to it

Off to bed I go....5am comes way to early!

Soomi- I agree with MJ on the reasons for chickens. How about bug control?

I went to collage, after high school, couldn't figure out what i want to do so stop, and worked in a salon for 9 years, when i was 27 went back to collage, new what i wanted, gave up on trying to have kids, and wouldn't you know it 7 months later got preg, finished out my semester, and had not be able to go back, hopefully one day.
