Good morning everyone! I'm so excited. I just got an email from the library that my hold on the "Raising Chickens For Dummies" book is in!!!!! True chicken lover huh? Gets all excited over a chicken book

Has anyone else out there read it yet? Wondering how many new ideas I'm going to get and if hubby is going to throttle me

What a weird day out today! I went out to get eggs quick and everything has a thin layer of ice on it. So glad I don't have to go anywhere today! I wouldn't want to buckle up 6 kids anyway! LOL We are making glitter snowmen today since it is ugly outside. Have a great day everyone!

Well, I'm back. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's strange how it can be quite tolerable if the wind isn't blowing.

Jessie, our grey-nose bull, is scheduled to be processed next week. He's huge! Probably about 1200 lbs. He's never been mean, or even remotely aggressive, but has always remained stand-offish and unapproachable. Even though I knew he would be processed eventually, I let myself get a bit attached to him. He's just so regal looking! For the last two days, when I've been outside doing chores, Jessie has walked right up to me at the fence and has eaten out of my hand. He's never done that before. It's like he knows, or something. Darn bull!

Get that snowblower ready to go, Sam. It's a snowing! Thought it wasn't suppose to start until after 4... oh well, don't know if the shock of the weathermen getting the weather right would be too much for me to bare! Shovels, stand at attention and be ready!
