Hillbilly Hen that is the cutest picture, almost looks like mamma has 2 extra heads growing from her sides. I love it !!!

Opa you have no idea how much the picture helped. I was trying to picture it when you talked to me on the phone but I am a visual person. It made sense to my husband, he's the one that builds the stuff, not me. I just hand him tools and nails. I have moved up to using the big saw. I couldn't tell you what it is called though.

Sounds like you are describing me and my DH.

Except that I don't dare try to use the tools.

Hey Opa and Hillybilly - the hens in the pics you posted - are those Auracaunas? I have 5 (if this is the correct breed) and they lay beautiful variations of blue eggs and are probably the best winter layers...The broody hen which we have called Ms Jane Brody - anyone know the nutritionist by that name? anyway, we've moved Ms. Jane to the basement for some peace and privacy....someone has broken 4 of the eggs that I had given her....I'd like to give her all blue eggs and hope that I have some success with the fertilization...we have one rooster for 24 hens...from what I read we should have one rooster per 6-8 hens, so I'm questioning the fertility! So, I'm looking for fertilized eggs but only from the breed that lays blue eggs...thanks Opa and Hillybilly Hen! hustonn (Nancy)

Ok Opa, I will do that.

hustonn, my mama hen is an EE, sold as an Auracauna. She lays mint green eggs, or rather she did.

so do the auracauna's lay blue eggs and the EE's lay green eggs?

I have heard that EE's will lay a variety of eggs from green, blue, pink or even brown. A lot of EE's are old as "Auracauna's" I got mine from the local Family Farm and Home store and I believe that they ordered from Townline. I was hoping for blue eggs, instead I get two different shades of green from my two EE's.

I think the television stations should all look into hiring new weather forecasters. I'm getting awfully tired of the current one giving the same forecast each morning.

I'm sure all of us would be much happier with something like this

Good morning everyone.

Opa I love your clip art, it always makes me smile. I love the poo trays, I'm going to want to incoraperate that into the remodeling of our coop.

Brianna, love the baby pics, white with the stripe is tooo cute.

Hillbilly Hen,love the baby pics.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having a problem with double vision. Headaches too? Who is your neuro? My daughter used to have Dr Schell,he did her first shunt and 3 revisions and a set of burr holes. He has the bedside manner of a tick. Then she saw Dr Sood, hes at Detroit Childrens. He is wonderful. But she is stable now, so we wanted someone closer. Now she sees Dr Schinco. He is so nice, always on time and alaways takes enough time. Good luck. Its so important to find a really good doc.

Ross Ranch, Ive never seen you here before, so heres my Hello. I'm kinda new here too

I have had 9 eggs a day for the last week from 10 girls. One 6 day andeverything else all this month have been 8 and 9 days. Some of you are saying that production went down, do you think We'll have even more eggs this summer? If so thats crazy. I kinda feel bad for them, laying so many. Such good girls:)
