I think the Silver Wyandottes are beautiful! I picked up a couple pullets this year. Have you saw the Blue Laced Red Wyandottes -- they are beautiful, also! I think someone on here breeds those.

Yep, I have BLRW (blue laced red wyandottes) they are definitely eye candy for your flock! I also have Welsummers, they have the most beautiful eggs, my favorites. I also have Serama's and Belgian Quail d'Anvers in the little guys. Personality plus with those breeds. I would love to have several more breeds, I have a big list

, but space and time limit me, at least for right now.

Then I have geese! American Buffs, Blues and Lavenders and just got 4 pilgrim goslings!

I just love my geese, nothing has personality like a goose!

Good Evening Everyone.

I had a migrane today so I just got on the computer. So I guess the concensis is I did to get rid of my Silkie roosters. They hold their own with the big girls. But I don't want the boys to hurt little silkie Luna. Thanks for the advice. I guess I will wait a little while just to make sure they are boys, then I will rehome them. Let me know if you are interested in one.

I know a friend of mine, (Skippin Sammi here on BYC) is looking for some BLRW chicks- very much so. She lives in Indiana though- are you willing to ship chicks?

Invite her to chickenstock! The more the merrier and there will be tons of birds, chicks, etc there. I plan on bringing some of everything!

I'd rather not ship baby chicks. Eggs, adults, juveniles, yes. Have her come to Chickenstock!

I have 9 absolutely gorgeous BLRW chicks from MrsChickendad's stock. They hatched last Friday, very healthy, very calm and sweet. Can't wait for them to grow up so I have my own breeding flock. Pretty, pretty, pretty birds.

I'm thinking about building a straw bale poultry house. Does anyone have any experience with this form of construction? I was thinking it would be kind of cool to build the nesting boxes right into the wall. I also love the look of them but I don't know if I'm being too ambitious. This is something I would have to do primarily on my own.

I haven't purchased any birds from them but have met Joni she seems very nice and genuinely cares about her birds.

Someone just needs to stop me. I went to TSC today to get another heat lamp with my two little girls and they had 3 lonely bantams (I have no idea what kind) that my girls talked me into. I do have to admit it wasn't a difficult thing to do. Then went over to LFS to pick up my 2 Dorkings and walked out of there with 5 more chicks. So now I have a total of 16 chicks that is double my current flock and in addition I'm hatching eggs with my daughters class...
