I really think doctors forget they are dealing with real people. Most people become doctors to help but then somewhere along the way they loose their compassion. I hope the new doctor will treat you with the kindness and respect you deserve.

Good morning folks. Looks like we actually have some warm weather headed our way. I for one will be glad to see the cold and wet gone. The weatherman is talking about temperatures in the 80's next week.

I talked with the Hillbilly Rooster yesterday and he is looking forward to seeing everyone at Chickenstock. He called tell me that he is donating a trio of buff orpingtons for our drawing. It will be here before we know it.

Good morning! I was startled awake this morning by some excited noises coming from the chicken pens. I threw my husbands flannel fleece lined shirt on over my hot pink short PJ's and took off running for the pens. Of coarse when I got down there everyone was looking at me like "What, what, we're not doing anything." I'll just chalk it up to another amusing momment for my neighbors as my hubbys shirt barely covered my bum, and the shorts could not be observed.

Good morning all! Ellen, I have had those mornings too! Especially when we were having fox problems, before we got Remi and Kimber. There I was, running out in my pjs, yelling and screaming at the fox, which, they probably couldn't see, just some mad woman at 6 am! Oh well, at not like they think I am normal anyway!

Man!! Haven't been able to get on here for several days. Busy, busy, busy with garden, bees, yaks, ducks, chickens, bottle lambs, etc. We've been doing some major clean-up now that things aren't such a swampy mess.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all at Chicken Stock!

Opa, how is Granny's dog? Hope all is well there.

Welcome to all the newbies! And so sorry for everyone's losses. I'm tellin' ya'...get some yak. We haven't seen a predator or any signs thereof since adding yaks to the property. Problem is, we haven't seen any signs of deer, either.

YakLady... you're teasing me you know! I seriously cannot wait to get my own yaks!!

Fencing goes in this fall!

So how is the bee keeping coming along?

Today will be a nice day... I almost rode the bike in to work! Tonight, I take my DSIL's hens over to her place that I raised while she recovered from her surgery.... will get to bottle feed a few lambs too! (they're so darn cute!) Not much else going on otherwise, which is a good thing... for now, just waiting for the garden to grow!

Opa, we need a granny's pup update!

Vicki, thanks for the visual this morning!

My outdoor waterers are developing algae already.....any suggestions on how I can avoid the little creepies from the water? Thanks!

More birds!

Get a flock of a hundred or so going, like me, and they'll drink the water so fast algae won't have time to grow.

Does 67 constitute a flock? How in heaven's name did 12 hens in 2008 grow into 67 in 2 years? Miracles, yes, I believe in miracles!
