Hi all!
My daughter has been in the hospital for three days, just came home. Ive posted before that she was sick, and the first hospital had said uti. Well, she never got better, she only got worse. So, I finally put my foot down and her doctor sent us straight to the hospital (second one). She has a double kidney infection ( e-coli) and it went into her blood stream (sepsis). So, they pumped her full of IV antibiotics and fluids- she was very dehydrated, but now she is doing much better. There is still unexplained abdominal pain and they are referring us to a pediatric GI specialist for a scope to see if she has an ulcer or something else that isnt detectable with ultrasound. She is a tough 12 year old, and she has been wonderful through all of this. Thankfully now, she can recover.
I went today to the oral surgeon. FINALLY got the tooth pulled, and one other one on the other side of my mouth- not a good idea. I dont recommend having two pulled on both sides of your mouth. i am in a world of hurtin' right now. However, now once healed I will go back to my regular dentist and have the wonderful root canal done on the tooth that was next to the broken tooth. One day I will have my mouth back in shape.
I hope everyone is doing well.
To the one who asked about a SE vet who will treat avian patients- I work at VCA Allen Park Animal Hospital. Dr. Field is our avian vet. We are open seven days a week, however she is not in all seven days, but one just needs to call to see when she will be in.
Opa! I am glad that you are having a wonderful time. Enjoy, you have earned it.
