Getting on my soap box
*********************************************************************************
I decided a long time ago that no one can make me happy but me. If I want to enjoy what life has to offer, I am the one who has to make it so. Not my family, not my sig other, kids... dogs.. chickens etc... I do not persue relationships with people, even friends I had forever, if they don't reciprocate gestures.. like calling me once in a while. If I'm the one doing all the calling, and they never call me back, after a time I stop. Some I've never heard from again. I'm simply not wasting my time, nor holding grudges. If I wanted to enjoy something, I make it enjoyable for myself and if I can share that with other people, well, then lucky them! lol!
Luckily I have a family that I get along with, and there's no real drama to speak of. My DH's family tried creating drama for Thanksgiving and I basically said if you don't want to come cause my families there, then don't. They came and everything was fine although they segrigated themselves. But that was not my problem, nor would I let it be my problem!
Keyt, don't let your families past events or current behavior shape your life today. Make your own holiday fun for your kid and BF and start new traditions! Maybe you'll find the holidays less stessful and spend less time in ER if you are happier.
PS... it struck me sadly that you said you're not "allowed" to have a real job.......ummmm, says who? If you go into photography, that is a real job, even more so if you're doing it on your own. You'll need to take time away from something/someone if you're going to make it, and make it worth while. I'd clear up what ever that limitation is if you want to be sucessful in a business, even if it's home based.
Just some personal thoughts.... been through some crap in my day and just thought you should know, life doesn't have to be as you knew it!

So I was just thinking..... I got this fancy new rabbitry hutch on the side of my shed....... and there's an additional 80 sq ft of floor space just begging for more chickens!
For Turkey day we had a fresh farm raised turkey.... so now I think I need to raise a turkey for next year! My that was tastey!!! I spent the rest of the weekend hunting and Sunday put the shingles on the roof for the rabbit hutch.
Now that I have all these rabbits.... and plan to start breeding them.... anyone out there want any rabbits? Live or butchered?
