I am volunteering to keep a list of the critters/crafts everyone plans to bring to the meet for trade or sale

Please PM me!

I'm going to plan a litter of rabbits to bring - (also if anyone wants to order a processed/frozen meat rabbit, please let me know)

List is up on the Chicken stock thread!

Silly: I may be interested in processed rabbits, been wanting to try "real" rabbit but I have been afraid of store meat. My Dad was a chef for 25 years and said that there was very few differences between rabbit and cat once processed. I won't buy rabbit at the store, but opn her I am more than willing. I have heard that it is a VERY under-utilized protein. just might be better id DV doesn't know until after diner what we are havering. I very much want to try real rabbit.

I will bring a few to chickenstock if you can attend... otherwise, we can make arrangements!

Where is Conway Twnship?

We actually canned a couple rabbits, my DH and his co-workers (some who snubbed it) thought it tasted wonderful! The rabbits are roasters instead of fryers (DH wants them bigger for the hide). Let me know!

Silly: Conway is just about due north of you barely NE of Fowlerville. If I don't meet you at CS I will definitely make arrangements.

Other business, I think I saw someone in this thread that had experience with Bearded Dragons, My DV is wanting to get one, and I had a few questions about them, and what the final tank size should be for an adult Beardie among other things.

It sure is nice to have the day start with the temperature closer to freezing than to zero. It certainly makes it a little easier to think about going outside.

Be sure to click on the link in my signature line for time to time to get the latest updates for Chickenstock.

Good Morning everyone

Down to the final days until hatching...very excited! I love watching them hatch and this time I'm hoping to have less trouble with the hatch because with the water bottle on the side my humidity is staying strong. I removed the wire rack last night and listened hard for cheeping...still nothing. I've got date of hatch written down as Friday so I'm going to take the clingwrap off of "Sheldon" tomorrow. I really do need to get that brooder set up LOL. I'm thinking of just using a tote like I usually do because I haven't had a chance to monkey around with the big metal one. It's been a while, I just need a 100W bulb at one end right? They're going to be in my house...on my diningroom table...where it's already 70*.

Good thing my husband loves me enough to tolerate critters on the table lol. I told him that's what tables are for!!
