Kim is right, they are great...at least the ones I have! Aric says no more ducks...unless I ever find female calls or I'd want one of those babies

Quit gathering her eggs- let her get a batch of fourteen or so so she can sit them!

Then you will have your own gaggle of ducklings...are they called a gaggle? Wheres Sam when I need him? What do you call a group of ducks?

I have 15 duck eggs in the bator right now....7 of them are Sadie's and the rest are probably Penny's. None of my ducks will sit on eggs. I have left them out there and no one bothers with them

We realllllyyyy reallllyyy need a few dry days here, I can't get my baby trees planted, I am afraid they will float away

Everyone here has sinus headaches and itchy eyes, I donno if its mold from the rain or pollen... sun sun come back !!! Good new is the new coop is high and dry as a bone in there, built it on concrete blocks and plan on fencing around the bottom so the have a nice cool place to hide from the sun in the summer. I hope none of them decide to lay eggs under there have to send the kids under there to get the eggs..lol...
Ya'll have a good rest of the week, my DH comes home next week from his training mission in sunny Cali the lucky bum, cept for the sleeping on the ground and eating MRE's for Easter part..lol
We missed him alot, made our 10 year old very anxious to have him gone again.

Getting excited here! I have my birds banded and pollorum tested for the show this saturday here in Michigan!

I plan on bringing the birds that are going to the show into my garage on friday morning and getting them ready to go. I think that'll give me plenty of time to clean up thier feet and legs (it's like a mud-pit outside...rain rain rain!) and not too long that they'll get irritated sitting in cages.

I plan on snapping pictures all day long and will post them on here!

Oh, morel mushrooms! That brings back such wonderful childhood memories. My dad would take all five of us kids out in the woods in the spring and we would hunt for morel mushrooms. We loved seeing who could find the most. He showed us how there is another kind of shroom that looks like a morel but is poison and how to tell the difference. Then we took them home and washed them good and he put a cornmeal batter on them and fried them up and we would stuff ourselves on them. That was after my mom died of cancer and it was just dad and us kids. He was the best dad in the world. Morel mushrooms remind me of him.

My Grandpa used to take me moral hunting...he was the best, been gone 6 yrs now. He knew exactly what to look for and showed me and my brothers how to look for them...and then once you see one you can suddenly see them all! Made me think of fairies magically appearing

A couple years ago my husband and I took my daughter out to the spots we used to go with Grandpa and although it was a crappy year for morals we did manage to find a few and she thought it was great.

I can't say that I've ever had a moral mushroom. battered and fried.....sounds delicous. :: goes to google it ::
