OH, about the cats... They were my dads cats before he passed, and I kept them. We just feed them cat food... I think its purina naturals...

I didn't think of yogurt. It's little crop feels empty. When it gets more strength back i was going to try wet chick feed.....????

You might think so, John.
But I now have this crazy idea of building a coop out of straw bales. As thick as they are, it would be great insulation and easy to put a roof on. The bonus is that it would not be a "structure" according to local codes.
My imagination is running amok with ideas of a straw castle in the back yard.

My Uncle who has an odd sense of humor once told me to leave the dog fur on the floor and eventually we'd have carpet.

I know that one should "never say never" but I've had enough hay stacking for a lifetime and will "never" use small squares again. The advent of large rounds is the single best thing since sliced bread, if you ask me. There were a few years there where we stacked 20+ tons of hay by hand, small square bale by small square bale. In one day. Invariably the hottest one of the year it seemed. No thank you! That said, there was one moment of weakness about mid-June this year where I thought "man I hope [BFF] calls and asks me to help stack her hay this year!" She didn't. And looking back I'm glad she didn't. I was clearly experiencing a moment of insanity. LOL!
