Beautiful birds, Nova. That's what I want for my next birds. I have an bantam favorelle and just love her. So sweet and gentle.

I think I've caught Opa's cold. Okay, not literally Opa's, I'm sure. But starting Wednesday morning it hit me like a ton of bricks. The good news is that I'm not working again until Monday, so I can I hope be feeling a little more human by then. The bad news is I can't breathe, I'm exhausted, and yet I can't sleep. Which is why I'm up in the wee small hours catching up on all of you. This is once I'm glad to be a part of this chatty group. Well, of course there's no time I'm *not* glad! But tonight you've kept me and my drippy drippy nose and achy self company (without risk of passing on this charming virus to the rest of you). So thanks for "virtually" sitting up with a sick friend. It counts even if you're all tucked properly away in your beds right now--which I hope you are!

One of the females, Lucy, will be sold for $10, she is my daughters and is an excellent mother and layer and also show quality. The rest of them will be given away. Lucy and Charlie will only be sold together, she is the one who is $10. Fred and Dottie are the other two who are free. We also have a shelter and a large walk in enclosure that we will sell (my husband made it) if interested, although I don't have a price yet. Please email me asap if you are interested. My chickens are so adorable! Bed time is a little complicated now because I have a couple young ones that need to be put to bed in a separate part of the coop. I have been letting the little ones out to free range for a few hours a day. The big girls chase them around a little put it is mostly peaceful as long as the little ones don't get cornered.

Anyway, I went outside to round up the chicks for bed and all the chickens from all corners of the yard started doing the full on chicken sprint toward me. As the two groups came together, one of the big girls started chasing my little Cadbury. She ran right up to me to so I could pick her up and keep her safe. Her fluffy little face looking up at me like she was saying, "Help me mommy!" She has cemented her status as my favorite.
