Ohhh, she will most likely blame the rat problem on you because you know as my neighbor told us when decided to get chickens....."You'll end up getting Rats & Mice, always do when you have chickens!" His way of trying to get us to change our minds....FAT CHANCE and a waste of breath!!

As we were talking at the fence a few minutes ago, a mouse ran out of her garage and through the fence into my yard. My chickens pounced on that sucker, quicker than poo thru a goose and she saw the whole thing.
OMG she says, I didn't know they did that.
Says I, "best mousers money can buy". But to be honest, I didn't know that a chicken could/would kill a mouse that fast.

WHAT IS SHE DOING????
One of my fav hens is digging in the corner of the coop. She stripped all the stuff out of the nesting box, then moved into the corner, cleared all the pine shavings and still is digging! Mr Fluffers is standing guard and occassionally digging on the other side of the nest box! What are they doing? I mean really, what are they doing?
