After a few hours of homework yesterday, I just had to get outside. So I cleaned up the chicken shed. It's actually a 12' x 24' tent garage. The hens seem to like it just fine for staying out of the weather. It does an adequate job of breaking the wind and absorbs some heat during the day so that it is a few degrees warmer than the outside air.

This is my roo T-Rex, he already rules the roost and if you see him in person (chicken) he looks perfectly prehistoric.....acts like it too. I can tell he is gonna be a handful!

Yeah, he his. And, he is actually small for a Flemish Giant. They are the best rabbits. He is litter trained, so he goes back to his cage to go potty.

Gotta love those donkey ears! My male FG (Little guy) is small for a flemish, but his mate (Big Girl) is getting bigger every day. My FG's are sand with a little fawn on the nape of the neck. They are very freindly rabbits and make great pets.

I had a Steel colored one when I was in my late teens/early twenties. When I got married, and moved out, my parents made me keep him home...lol His name was Beast. When we first got him he was so tiny, and it was funny calling this little teeny bunny Beast. However, he bonded to me somehow, because during a "certain time" during the month, he would spray me! I had to stay away.

Very easy to clean. A simple raking and then to the compost heap with old stuff.
Break open a new hay bale, spread a couple of scoops of PDZ and let the chickens move it around.

The only problem is that now I need another tent to store the yard equipment.

Here are some vids I took this past weekend. I got to visit my rooster, Tempest. I couldn't keep him here due to the crowing. He lives at my in-laws dairy farm. Sorry the vids are sideways...lol I recorded with the cell phone and don't know how to turn them. (Edited to add: I turned them, but if you watch within the next few minutes, they might still be sideways for a little bit)

So I finally sent in my membership application for the Araucana Club of America! Seeing as only three of my chickens aren't Araucana, I figured it would be a good move. I definitely am loving the breed, so quirky and funny.

Hey AngelaB, tried to look at the vids but it says I have to be granted access or log in. Is there a way to unlock them?
