You might be better off to borrow an incubator from someone who has one and who is able to provide for the chicks that hatch and then just give the whole lot of it back once you're done.

ksl42 - Does you husband work at the Fair Haven Elevator? Sounds like the three Jersey Giants I just mentioned above! I'm assuming you are a woman, which may be wrong. I asked him if he was on BYC and he said no, he does all the building and hard labor and his wife does the research, etc. on the chickens.

home sick today and just read through about 20 pages here. Love Love all the pics of silkie roos, baby quails, and homemade coop door entrances, etc. Don't know why but those scrap wood projects always make me want to go build something. Wish this cold would subside soon.
