Wait, Theron, are you trying to say that we can't get one that says Theron's Fowl Farm on it? Because of course that's what I really want!

No, they are great shirts. Just seems there is a perfect blank space for... I don't know... something like "Theron's Fowl Farm" on it???

BTW, the two 5 day old Golden Sebrights I got from you at Chickenstock are doing great and are very beautiful. They have integrated well with the older hens, although they are quite clannish and if the two are even briefly separated (like one hops out of the coop while the other one hesitates) the lamentations are loud and endless until they are within inches of each other again. Quite amusing (although I'm sure not to them...) But Theron--I'm thinking that they're both pullets??

They are 19 weeks old now, and I know Sebrights are hen-feathered, but no signs of comb or wattle development, no crowing... So in your experience, when can you usually tell the pullets from the cockerels with Sebrights?

If it turns out they are both pullets, clearly I am on the hook for a shirt at least! Even if I can't get one that says Theron's Fowl Farm.

You can get a shirt that says theron's fowl farm on it if you would like. I really didn't think people would like it supporting a different farm than their own. When I raised sebrights, I could tell fairly early pullets from cockerels. At 19 weeks you should tell the difference. We are unfortunately not raising them any more so we could make room for other breeds. I will try making out an order form for the shirts in the next couple days. for now, just email me or contact me through my website. Don't forget to include how many shirts wanted, color and sizes.

yorkchick, I'm not Theron, but I thought I'd show you a few pics of 2 of my sebrights. First, is Mr. Peanut. He was about 8 weeks old and I pegged him for a cockerel right away. (He was not happy about the photo op.)

Next, is Foxy who, up until this photo confirmed it, we thought was a pullet but is actually a cockerel. He is about 22 weeks in the photo. I thought he was a pullet because he didn't develop like Mr. Peanut, but I got to really looking at him one day and realized he had hackle and saddle feathers.

My 2 pullets are 24 weeks right now and neither have a comb or wattle and thankfully no hidden saddle/hackle feathers. It's not the greatest pic, but the pullet in front is about 16 weeks old. She still looks like that.

Wait Theron, I just PM'd you my order, but if I can get a shirt that says Theron's Fowl Farm on it, that's what I want!

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the shed & coop. I'm very happy myself with my little setup here. I do have to say that I've waited a long time for this and it's something I've always wanted. Like I tell my kids when they want something....you can't always get what you want right away, you can always dream & work toward your goals and if it's meant to be it'll happen. I'm very fortunate, blessed and grateful in many ways.....big & small.

ChicwannaB.....it's important to make sure you empty your vacuum each time you use it.......those little critters can survive in there for sometime.

Teeville5.....Mr. Peanut is so adorable.....I love him, he'll be a handsome dude!

Houstons Happy Hens....glad to hear your hen is recovering well.

Good Morning!! So, my former DIL sent me a video of my 5 yr old grand daughter singing "A bicycle built for two" She said she didn't know where she learned it from, but I suspect from Music class, lol. But, she didn't know the song at all. None of my 4 kids ever heard it before. Really?? Wow, I'm old!

How many of you remember that song??

One of my black australorps pecked at my wedding ring last night, and missed and got my finger

Owie. I can't wear my ring today, since she actually hurt my skin....lol She is my BA that hates to be touched or picked up. I was trying to fix the perch. All those fatties on it, the perch came off it's support. We have to put another brace on it!
