I have raised Welsummers before, and that is what they looked like at that age.

Oh no. Now I have a barnvelder pullet with no rooster and a Wellsummers rooster with no hen.

I mean that it looks like that you have a pair of Welsummer.

Mine like to be outside most of the day. They will roam around the fenced in run and go into the tent coop, but rarely want to hang out in the garage/coop. That may be because the TV died.
I think they like being outside because I move the fence boundary around and it gives them new areas to explore. Some folk say that chickens don't like change or new things, but leave the gate open for a second and they are scooting out for new places to explore.

Yes the one pullet was a Wellsummers but I lost her. These chicks were not the best when I bought them and I lost a few. So now I will have to look for a Wellsummers hen and a barnvelder rooster.

Yes, very friendly! Mine love to be held. They are content to stay in the coop all winter with very little fighting. The only problem I have had is that a few end up picked on by non polish hens. Also they say they don't tolerate winter well but mine did fine last year. You just have to check their crests to make sure no one has iced themselves up. I did end up with some roosters that had attitudes but I still have one that is a great rooster and is himself picked on by the girls. This is my favorite Peep who comes when I call her. She has run off several times, once she survived three nights outside before I found her! Much tougher than she looks!

Olive - yes I want some, add me to your list, not sure poults or eggs, it depends on timing.

Well it looks like it is official. That looks just like my rooster. My pullet looked like yours also but as I said, I lost her. I bought these as baby chicks and have gone through hell to save them. What I did save is real good now. Thriving. Now I need to find a Wellsummers hen and a rooster for my barnvelder. Oh well, not going to worry about it right now. At least I now know what he is. Thanks Angela and Farmboy.

I "liked" it some time ago, but I did post a link to my FB page so maybe you'll get a couple from my school friends.
