lol. I remember my first solo ride... It involved a gunning, a hardware store, a porch post, a flipped suzuki, and a lot of bruising. Oh yeah...
Well, I only had one escapee today. I put chicken wire all around the top of the fence, kinda floppy like, so it would deter them from going over. Also built a tunnel coming out of their coop to the outside of the winter run. No climbing/flying over that way. Well, Morey did manage to get out, but he did not leave his girls. Well he didn't go far. He kinda just hung out with the chickens.
I did have another scare though. I could not find my little Leila. I had opened the garage enough so the chickens inside could get out, but the big roosters could not get in. (Monday is to far away) Well, she came out and guess she couldn't make it back to the garage so she was hiding under my broke-mobile. I was gettting a bit upset because I was worried that a hawk or something may have gotten her. BUT the wind is so bad, I didn't think they'd be flying to much. I was calling her, and she wasn't coming. She always comes to her name. Good little puff ball. Well, anyway, she finally came out from under the car. She was just so far under that I didn't see her when I initially looked. Whew!
SO far the plastic has held up to todays yucky winds.
I can't wait to see pics of the baby chic when it finally makes it out!
