Dirty because it came out of a hen's hindy? As opposed to the immaculate birth grocery store eggs?

Raz, you're a hoot!
Gloomy day, but at least the wind has stopped blowing so much. Hens are out free ranging, and hopefully a couple of them will lay an egg for me today. That would make me happy.

KeepsPeeps. Hopefully you can keep your peeps. I don't know how you can fight the association, but good luck.

Just noodling around with some numbers (instead of doing housework) and came up with this:

First egg was Sept. 13. (From Broil)
First bantam green egg was Nov. 17 (Nugget)
I have had 94 days of eggs production.
221 eggs over that time. (Broil has laid 92 eggs)
Averaging 2.3 eggs per day.

Coeds visiting the chickens - 7
Resulting dates - 0.

I got my coop of Craigslist. I have gotten my chicks from a guy in Columbiaville. I am getting some next week and have a couple more ordered for Feb. from a woman in Capac.

Welcome to the MI thread KeepsPeeps, we're so glad to have you! I sure hope you win your fight to keep your peeps. Thank God I live in an area where there are no restrictions. I have 13 hens and 2 roosters who free-range my 5 acres. I live in the Clay Township/Algonac area which is about 50 miles NE of Detroit and 30 miles south of Port Huron. I had my coop built by a great builder and it's solid as a rock. I got some of my chicks from TSC in New Haven and by French Black Copper Marans from a breeder in Ada, MI.
