I am giving some eggs to a friend on Monday, his wife does not believe in green eggs...

Kind of sad when you think of it. I took some green eggs to school and many of these collge kids still wouldn't believe it. They thought it was a fake.

Opa is right, there are only 2 colors of eggshell, white and blue. Green eggs are blue shells with a little brown added on the outside. Brown eggs are white shells with brown pigment on the outside. Nova if your hens have been laying for a while they may have less pigment to put on the outside, so the eggs are starting to look more blue.

What's wrong raz, too many chicks here today?

Howdy all you Michiganders! Checking things out, getting familiar with the BYC MI neighborhood. We're located Scio Township west of Ann Arbor. We started out with a few Araucana's and now have 30+ Buff Orp's, Bard Rocks and a few Lackenvelders. We double our flock close to spring through late fall with a couple of hybrid runs meandering around via chic tractor. What a resource BYC is! Have a safe and joyful closure to 2011 and hold on tight for 2012......peace out!

Welcome to our thread. I have 4 Lakenvelders. 3 hens and a rooster. I call them my crazy chickens because they are so flighty. Everytime I open their pen door they start screaming and flying like I am in there to kill them or something lol. Crazy birds
