Thanx for the tip! My oldest nephew is 4 years old, so it's probably not me... lol Although this is a VERY small town, so we've probably seen each other at the grocery store! I'm going to miss this place... too bad there are no jobs here; it's a great place to live and raise kids. Young families are leaving left and right now. More and more, it's becoming just a great place to vacation or retire (and keep your winter home in Florida). Our entire village economy relies on the summer people.

Lansing, here we come! *sigh*

Anybody have any interest in black sex link chicks or cochin cross chicks if I were to set some? Just figured I would see. Also, I am interested in buying some black australorp hatching eggs. Thanks

Hi neighbors! I am looking for a couple pullets- I am currently collecting ONE egg a day. My next oldest are only 9 weeks old(and I think they are banties!).

SoleProvider is supposed to pick up my show girls and silkie roos (FOUR of them!). That leaves me with room!

Anyone near me have something standard size close to laying age that they would be interested in sending to suburban life?

I am in Taylor- downriver...about 20 minutes south of Detroit..and OH! I also have a little nine week old turken roo wanna-be that is looking for a home. Illegal chickens are NOT allowed to crow and give away their location, here.

Hey gang. Sorry but I'm not reading all 65 pages!

I have about 100 chicks/laying hens on the place right now. Mostly mixed up layers but am slowly making the transition to Black Astrolorps as my main bird. Always have eggs for sale and usually some pullets and young roosters for sale or trade. Just getting into Rabbits and Goats as well.

Located west of 127 just off of M-57.

My family are from Carson City, Mike. My dad's family had a farm on what now houses the overpass put in a few years ago (by Ola Corners), near that old Ola camp. On what was the NW corner of 57 and 127. His family sold the farm and moved to Carson when he was a teenager. My mom's family all farmed outside of Carson.

But in case you're slow to start I'm up near Alpena, I"ve got 27 new chicks and 12 guineas to go with my 6 juvenile birds.

Welcome to the club!
