QUICK!
I suffer from apparent CRS disease...

what does it mean when you put an egg in water and it stands on its end? That it is no good?

Or was that the good one, and the others are bad?

I have removed the offending egg from my pot of hot water..but someone please tell me if the rest are okay.

For some reason, I think having a soft-boiled egg will help my stomach pain..or not, but I want "my mama" and since that isnt gonna happen I have to bring back childhood memories all by myself.

Apparently I suffer from Shouldhavelearnedmylessonthefirsttime.

The one egg I got from the coop this morning, I set it on the counter.....SPLAT. :: sigh :: I see how my day is going to be. It must be that I switched over to decaf and my brain is protesting.

Oh, I hate those gall bladed seizure days! Takes several hours to go away! I have tried massaging the area that the gall bladder is to help the stone move itself along... The first time I had one happen, it sent me into a panic attack and I really thought I was having a heart attack, and totally scared the poo out of me that I had a lovely ambulance ride... So, I for for ya.

IT IS 47 DEGREES AT 8:24 IN THE MORNING! The snow is nearly gone in my front yard, the path is a mud lane... I am tempted to let oh the ducks and leave in the chooks.

M2 -- The egg is fine, it just has a larger air pocket than the rest which may indicate it's older. It's not bad unless it floats though. You can put it back in and enjoy all your eggs. The flatter they lay the fresher they are -- or, technically the smaller the air pocket they have.

haha, finally got it! CRS disease! Lol

Ugh! seeds soaked in water. I much prefer my leaves soaked in water thank you (Wild Berry Plum green this morning)

Grandma, you can only offer the best advice you can, and people will either take it or not depending on their personal experience and tolerance for risk. Not everyone buys the same amount of insurance coverage. All the birds I have I either hatched out myself or got as day-old chicks from a reputable hatchery.

Yorkchic, I remember Penelope from Chickenstock, the still-fuzzy long-legged thing following Mom and her daughter all around. Nice to see her all grown up and happy with her friends.

Mom, that poor unfortunate chick - do you think we should take up a collection for her to get a spa treatment? I just know she will grown up into a beautiful swan. Please keep posting pictures as she grows so we can share in her transformation.

:welcome Leslie! Yes, its almost impossible to keep up with thread traveling at warp 10 speed. lol :gig

Mom2, I can see some roos there, and some pullets. They are very cute. The red ones take after their dad, don't they?
