Please, watch him very carefully. My daughter was bipolar too. The meds made her feel better, so she stopped taking them. She killed herself on Dec 17th, a few years ago. It was her third attempt. Christmas still sucks.

We are so helpless as parents - the kids think they know the answers, but death is so final.

Gosh, how horrible!! My nephew was bi-polar. He commited suicide by cop a couple years back. I can't imagine how a parent gets through that.

I forgot that I uploaded pics a few days ago. This is Zeke. He is finally getting his big boy feathers.

Oooh, He sure is purty. And his girls too. Great job raising them. Mom- sorry for what is your daughter is going thru. I will pray that your daughter and son will stay on their meds. A BYC member who that I have never known, offered me 44 rumpless Araucana test eggs, and all that I have to pay for was the shipping! The eggs have arrived today, and only 3 had hairline cracks! I will put the good eggs in the bator tomorrow night. I will be happy if only 10 percent hatched.

Tonight before bed my eggs go into lockdown. I don't have a candler and the shells are darker so I can't tell much. I can tell there is something in them, since all I can see is the air cell. One was moving last week....so I guess I just wait and see what hatches. I'm getting lazy, I don't have the brooder ready. In the past I've had it ready days ahead.

Not sure why your photos didn't post but the links worked and your chickens are quite handsome.

On the ugly scale, I now have 2 that top the chart.. As adorable as they may be, they are still pretty ugly but they are growing on me.

I'm so very sorry about your daughter. Yes, death is so very final and much consideration and pain goes into making that decision. I hope you never have to understand this mind set. Going back and forth on the bi-polar scale and struggling with that kind of decision is a whole different kind of hades. I wish i could describe it better. I cannot find the words right now.

A classmate of mine had a brother who was bipolar. She was on the phone with her sister-in-law when her brother walked through, said he was going to kill himself, and walked out to the garage. Killed himself by the time his wife went out there. So sad.

My childrens' dad once told me he was going to kill himself- had a gun in the passenger seat. Surprisingly, I told him to get into my car (minus his gun) and he did- I drove him directly to the hospital.
It s absolutely heartbreaking when someone needs help and refuses to get it/or allow others to get it for them.

Nova. My stepfather is schizophrenic- on meds. Worries me for my mother's sake. all the time.

Sometimes we are kinda immobile to reach out for help or don't think we are worth it or that there is anything anybody can say to make us OK.
