Nova- Don't let your hen be crop blocked very long - they go downhill really fast with that condition.
Dr. Bader can slice open and remove the blockage and then you can hand feed her with Kaytee baby bird handfeeding formula $10 at the pet store, and keep her inside the house for warmth in a crate if you want to save her. The chicken cannot survive very long with an impacted crop - she needs to take in a lot of food to keep warm outside. You'll have to figure out if she can eat and if she cannot, then act quickly. If she cannot eat, at least get her warm.
On trimming chickens nails - I only had one hen whose nails got too long because she was real old and stood around a lot. Of the other 12 chickens over 11 years, I have never trimmed a nail because in the free ranging, they need the nails for scratching.
