X2! I love them fresh, made into a pie and jam. I had brought rhubarb oat dessert to Chickenstock last year, and when I went to get the platter back, they were all gone. No leftovers for me to eat on the way home. I just cleaned out my coop so I can finished putting sand in it, and I had dumped the bedding in the rhubarb bed. 16 plants will grow well this year.

so, I guess when them tree frogs are climbing up your door, you get stuck on the landing?
I got my boys to catch toads last year, and then when they tried to get me to hold them, I told them I can't cuz toads will give you warts on yer nose. Lol. They chucked them toads so fast I nearly peed myself.

LOL Tree frogs don't climb up my door. But last year ALL my sheep water troughs have a gazillion of them in them. Yuck. I wouldn't hold a frog or a toad to save my soul. EWWWW

rhubarb is only good for one thing.... Strawberry rhubarb pie. Yum yum!

Yes, that's probably why we have it growing next to our Strawberries, lol! But, it also is "believed" to strengthen tooth enamel, provide anti-tumor value, provide relief for psoriasis and arhtritis, act as a laxative and anti-diarrheal, heal digestive tract problems, lower cholesterol, and makes a superb addition to a venison roast. One thing's for sure - it costs alot at the market and it's soooo easy to cultivate.

I have some salamanders living in the well pit. Whenever I open the cover they come out and walk around. It's amazing where you'll find them. There's chipmunks living down there also. It's been like that for years.

Also 1 cup of Rhubarb equals 1 servings of vitamin C.
