Bobbry - never think deeply on this thread or on the internet in general. Since all we have is written words we cannot see the wink and the smile that go with the comment!

RaZ - are the little Uggos o.k. in this temperature? Please tell me they had a heat lamp last night. Lie if you need to!

Nor can we see you waving your hands at us when you are talking on the phone. (Not you specifically Bobbry, I saw a woman yesterday doing that while driving down the road. Not sure how she was steering...)

Lemon and Pepper have had a heat lamp available from the day I brought them home. It's positioned so they can get close or even under it if they want to. But it is also oriented so that the big birds won't get burned. Today, the Uggos were about 2 feet away from it when I went out.

I just came in from snow blowing and I think my brain is froze. I wish it was 16 degrees here. This 8 degrees without factoring in the windchill is brutal. I've got to go back out to water the birds. I hate winter bird chores.

With her knee. Not that I would know. I would never drive, talk on the phone, eat breakfast and put mascara on at the same time. But if I HAD done that at some point I would have steered with my knee.

YEAH!! You chose Lemon and Pepper! I just have to say, I was the first to suggest them, and NOW YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE NAMES! You used them. LOL

We have a new farm and home? Where?

Maybe they would have something to kill yeast overgrowth in the crop.
ETA- after reading your update, it sounds like Veena just needs to gain some weight back after her crop impaction. That is great! So glad you kept her warm and fed during the recovery.

I like baby ducks... Ducklings... But still, they are pooping machines! LOL. I am turning some of the straw into the garden soil/boxes. I am also going to get a wheel barrow full of rabbit crap to turn in also. Oh yeah. Tomatoes will be BIG!

I found out where the new Farm and Home store is going to be. It is going to be in the old Family Fare in the old K-Mart Plaza. SWEET! That is so convenient. I wonder if it is open now... I could really use some medicated chick feed. The TSC is OUT! I would think they'd have that in stock big time since chick days is coming up here in a few weeks.

I found a new use for foot warmers... I got the ones with the sticky backing, and stuck it to the bottom of the chick water-er. LOL. Works like a charm. Get the 8 hr ones, they reach 105-110 degrees, depending on the brand. LOL.

Got a messed up story..

Last night, my kids had a bottle of root beer... They have a bed that has the slide on it. Great fun for winter time... Well, they needed a bit more fun. SO, the root beer went down the slide. The kids went down the slide. The root beer was not not in the bottle when it was going down the slide. I will let your imaginations take it from there. Serious baths were in order...

I guess I'll have to change my name to Richard.

I ran the snow blower and did not do the neighbor like I usually do. I figure that since she has treated me like crap since June I had no reason to clear her sidewalk or drive. I wonder how she will like those apples.
