WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE They cancelled my storm warning, now it's just an advisory.

* precipitation spreading into Alcona County this evening will
likely start as rain or a mix of rain and snow... especially near
Lake Huron. Rain may continue through the evening hours before
changing over to all snow after midnight.

* Snowfall amounts may be wide ranging across the County
depending on how precipitation type develops. Snow amounts
could range from as little as 1 to 2 inches along the Lake
Huron shoreline... to 4 to 8 inches across western portions of
the County.

I happened to check the radar and suddenly this big hole opened up. so much better than 8-14. Hopefully, I'm not too far west.....

This is my GR, Maggie, checking out the new peepers. She thinks she can sniff them through the brooder wall.

Think she likes the smell?

my idiot son left the darn door to the garage open again.. Dogs got out. Everyone is scattered in the thunderstorm. Great. Just darn freaking great. I am going to glue his head to the door until he remembers to shut it. I hope I am not missing anyone.

Nova, see my previous post. Kids are nuts. Expect nothing.

Hi guys, I feel like I am party crashing here...

I live in West Michigan and soon will be picking up 5 new 8 - 10 week chicks from Destiny Farm over in Brighton area.

I was hoping I could hear from one or more people who have had experience with them, particularly in reference to how insanely carefully I should quarantine the new chicks.

I have heard that you don't need to quarantine chicks from a hatchery, but as this is a farm hatchery and also because the chicks are not day olds, I am assuming I should.

We have 5 hens that we have had for a year now, so adding to the flock is a new enterprise for us. I would appreciate any info anyone has for me, thanks!

lol, that's funny! Ever since I got the chickens and then discovered I had murderers, I am continually watching for escapes from the yard. Argus can't really get out, but ruby can. But when the door is left open through neglect... Oh that just burns my butt. No... No tucks needed.
